I was given the opportunity to return to my alma mater, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to share insights on the theme of AI-generated art in the advertising industry.
We explored how AI can be applied in various ways in the advertising industry through engaging case studies and examined how the creative workflow has evolved from paper sketches to digital generations with the help of AI tools. I also shared how I have used AI in a creative tech capacity to develop simple prototypes for brand activation. We wrapped up the session by having classmates sketch a key visual for an advertisement, and then used Adobe Firefly to enhance it and add a bit of creative flair using tools like Midjourney. It was inspiring to see how students were able to use these tools to create stunning visuals within 30 minutes.
